It took a while, but here we are! A new web space, with more control and customization than ever, leaving Substack behind and with flashbacks to my previous attempts at building a website.
Why a website? First and foremost, to have a virtual corner that isn’t Instagram, which I increasingly aspire to distance myself from, just like the rest of Meta, Google, Apple, and Microsoft, to be honest. But oh well, one step at a time.
For those interested, this site runs on WordPress (wordpress.org, not .com), hosted with Ionos, using the free Astra theme (HEAVILY modified, the poor thing, but oh well, charging ahead for the time being), and I upload my videos to Spectra Video’s PeerTube instance before sharing them here. I’ll also casually mention that I mostly work with a Proton email account and within a Linux environment hehe.
Does any of this matter? Maybe that’s a conversation for another day. But for now I’m into it yey
